Our Story

Mama Jacq’s is a family-run business. Chantal, her brother, and her mother (Mama Jacq’s) were all born on the lush island of Saint Vincent. They are all very hands-on in running the business. A vital component of the brand is the experience of Caribbean hospitality and how great food always brings people together.

A sense also developed that food should always be about celebration – not just celebrating get-togethers but also ingredients, cooking techniques and the vibrant Caribbean heritage.

Having moved to Brooklyn, New York, in the late 1990s and then on to London, the family is very proud of their history and culture. In the early 2000s, the UK became home and merged London with Caribbean culture, becoming one.

Our Food

The cuisine of the Caribbean is varied – each island nation has its own signature dishes handed down from generation to generation. The menu has been developed to showcase dishes from across the Caribbean and takes the diner on a trip around the Caribbean, from one Island to the next, using the food and drinks menu. Educating people on how great food from the region can be when it’s lovingly prepared and cooked.
